THE TWELVE PLAYS OF CHRISTMAS – BRING ON THE SHOW!

Alderney, 7 November 2025: Concerns have been raised that the size of the Island Hall stage might be too small for this year’s very special big Christmas Review to be performed by a large cast as well as two choirs!

However, producer and director Charlotte Newton would like to reassure the public that no challenge is too big for the Alderney Theatre Group when it comes to bringing the best entertainment to the good people of Alderney – especially for the festive season ahead!

Lee Flewitt and Beverley Hope-Smith have written several sketches for this year’s Christmas Review entitled “The Twelve Plays of Christmas”, featuring twelve individual sketches which will be performed by a 16-strong cast aged 7 to 70, with great sounds of music from Alderney’s popular choirs including “Wine & Song” and “The Acafellas”.

We have created a brilliant mixture of music, poetry and hilarious acts with local inuendo and topical jokes, which are guaranteed to create a Christmas atmosphere and will bring the house down”, promises Charlotte Newton.

Rehearsals are now at full steam – and, with two performances scheduled for 11th and 12th December, the pressure is on!

Tickets £10 will go on sale at Anchors in Victoria Street from 15 November and the cast looks forward to performing on the Island Hall stage to full houses on both nights.
