Season’s Greetings

Dear Members

As 2021 comes to a close, many of us hope the worst is now behind us and 2022 will be the year when everything will be back to normal and we’ll claim the stage again.

During this year which seems to have been ruled by Covid, we were still able to bring you some light entertainment with a Play-Reading night of “Relative Values” in March “and two Murder Mystery Dinner performances “Murder on the Alderney Express” and “Murder in the Library”  – all of which were a great success with the audience.

We had hoped to bring you more light entertainment in the autumn and the Youth Theatre Group had started rehearsing “Aladdin” which they hoped to perform just before Christmas. Alas, due to a sudden surge of Covid and the ensuing restrictions we had to shelf our plans and very sadly, unable to have their rehearsals, the young cast of “Aladdin” regretfully had to cancel their big show.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your much needed and much appreciated support during this difficult year and will do our very best to make 2022 an entertaining year for you

Wishing you a merry and  enjoyable Christmas and a much happier,
trouble-free,  virus-free and fun-filled  New Year

Linda Aldis – Chairman
on behalf of the Alderney Theatre Group Committee
